Tips for purchasing blinds

Measurement size
There are two installation methods for the installation of louvers: concealed installation and exposed installation. When selecting, the size of the louver needs to be measured according to different assembly methods. The blinds concealed in the window lattice should have the same length as the window height, but the width should be 1-2 centimeters smaller than the left and right sides of the window. If the louver is hung outside the window, its length should be about 10 centimeters longer than the height of the window, and its width should be about 5 centimeters wider than both sides of the window to ensure good shading effect. Generally speaking, small rooms such as kitchens and toilets are suitable for concealed blinds, while large rooms such as living rooms, bedrooms, and study rooms are more suitable for using exposed blinds.
Look at the quality
The blades of the louver are an important part of adjusting the louver. When choosing louvers, it is best to first touch whether the louver blades are smooth and even, and see if each blade will have burrs. Generally speaking, high-quality louvers have better handling of blade details, especially those made of plastic, wood blocks, and bamboo. If the texture is good, its service life will also be longer.
The adjustment rod is also a key part of the louver that needs to be inspected. The adjustment lever of the louver has two functions: one is to adjust the lifting switch of the louver, and the other is to adjust the angle of the blades. When inspecting the adjustment rod, first hang the shutter flat and pull it to see if the lifting switch is smooth, and then rotate the adjustment rod to see if the flipping of the blades is also flexible and free.
Observe color
The blades and all accessories, including wire racks, adjustment rods, pull wires, and small accessories on the adjustment rods, should be consistent in color.
Check the smoothness
Feel the smoothness of the blades and wire racks with your hands. High quality products are smooth and flat, without the feeling of pricking hands.
Open the curtains and test the opening and closing function of the blades
Rotate the adjustment rod to open the blades, and maintain good levelness between the blades, that is, the spacing between the blades is uniform, and the blades are kept straight without any feeling of bending up or down. When the blades are closed, they should match each other and have no gaps for light leakage.
Check the resistance to deformation
After the blade is opened, you can use your hand to forcefully press down on the blade, causing the stressed blade to bend down, and then quickly release your hand. If each blade quickly returns to its horizontal state without any bending phenomenon, it indicates that the quality is qualified.
Test the automatic locking function
When the blades are fully closed, pull the cable to roll up the blades. At this point, pull the cable to the right and the blade should automatically lock, maintaining the corresponding rolled up state, neither continuing to roll up nor loosening and sliding down. Otherwise, there will be a problem with the locking function.
